BRISBANE

NEW FARM PARK

New Farm Park is one of Brisbane’s oldest, grandest and largest parks and attracts more than 18000 visitors each week from all around the world. The 37-acre park is a popular spot with local families and friends who gather on weekends to relax, picnic, barbecue, kick a ball and catch up beneath the trees or in the open fields.

The city-owned park often has free live music events in the rotunda and other special events throughout the year.

POWER HOUSE

One edge of the park touches the Brisbane River and a riverfront boardwalk connects the park with Brisbane Central Business District by foot, or from the CityCat ferry terminal.

Next to the  New Farm park is the Brisbane Powerhouse, an incredible old building re-purposed as an edgy arts centre. Catch live music, comedy, theatre and more, plus the weekend farmers’ markets and moonlight cinema

Kangaroo Point Cliffs

Both the upper and lower levels of Kangaroo Point Cliffs Park offer unmatched views of the Brisbane River and city. It’s a favourite location for tourists, weddings and special events.

Meet friends for a picnic by the river, at the clifftop café or on a riverside walk or ride.

You can also:

  • hire a kayak from Riverlife Adventure Centre or abseil down the 20-metre cliffs with a guided group

  • access the Kangaroo Point Bikeway, running from Thornton Street to the Captain Cook Bridge

  • enjoy the Cliffs Boardwalk, starting at the Riverlife Adventure Centre and ending under the Captain Cook Bridge.

SOUTHBANK PARKLANDS

GASWORKS

The Gasworks at Newstead is a large, master-planned, mixed-use development centred around the heritage-listed Brisbane landmark, The Gasometer.
